Support Officer - Education Services

Life Saving Victoria has an exciting opening for a proven administration professional with outstanding administrative and communication skills. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Support Officer to be an integral member of our team.

The Support Officer - Education Services will provide support for and coordination of the administration requirements of the Education Services Team, ensuring a high level of customer service. This includes the resourcing and support of water safety program delivery and liaising directly with our pool of casual staff, including rostering, logistics and general support.

The successful applicant will have the ability to prioritise and multi-task whilst managing their workload. In addition, sound computer skills (Microsoft Office) are essential.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate previous experience and enjoy working in a dynamic and motivated team environment.

In return Life Saving Victoria will provide a fabulous work environment, variety, work/life balance, great office amenities and facilities. This is a permanent opportunity, based on the beach in Port Melbourne.

Casual Education Instructors

Life Saving Victoria's Education Services department is now recruiting casual instructors to assist with the delivering of water safety education programs during the 2011/2012 summer season.

LSV delivers a range of fantastic education programs to school, multicultural, university and community groups throughout Victoria.  The Education Services department is looking for staff to join our team to instruct on programs including the Open Water Learning Experience and Beach Programs.  We are also recruiting staff to deliver the Meet a Lifeguard program which is classroom based.  Please visit www.lifesavingvictoria.com.au/education for more information on these beneficial programs.

Education Services is looking for enthusiastic staff that will enjoy working within a team environment and with a diverse range of people.  Instructors must be passionate about promoting water safety and want a fun and active job for the summer!

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Senior First Aid
  • Employee Working with Children Check

Plus ONE or MORE of the following:

  • Community Surf Lifesaving Certificate
  • Bronze Medallion (Beach/Pool)
  • Pool Lifeguard
  • AUSTSWIM (Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety) or equivalent

Swim Instructors

Located on the grounds of Xavier College Senior Campus in Barkers Road, Kew, the Stephenson Centre is a Health and Physical Education Sports Centre which operates as a fitness club for members and a facility for hire out of school hours. The Stephenson Centre boasts a magnificent heated indoor pool, a weight-training room, two basketball/netball courts suitable for multipurpose use, and a versatile indoor cricket area. The Stephenson Centre Swim School is looking for enthusiastic swim instructors who are highly motivated and passionate for the aquatic Industry. We currently have work Monday to Friday 4.00pm to 6.00pm with the possibility to work later. The following current certificates: Austswim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate, Green License or equivalent, CPR Certificate and Working with Children Check.
