Victoria Junior Development Program (Under 13's)

The Under 13 Development Camp is aimed at junior lifesavers from a wide background of lifesaving disciplines.  Active members in competition, patrol and club activities are encouraged to nominate to attend this camp.  The camp is aimed at YOUTH that want to stay active in Lifesaving and who show long-term potential as contributors to the future of Life Saving in Victoria.  In 2008 LSV delievered two Under 13 Camps at the Life Saving Victoria headquarters, camps which everyone learned a lot and had a great amount of fun.

Victoria Leadership Development Program (Under 15's)

Lyrebird Park Yellingbo (in the Dandenongs) is home to the Under 15 Leadership Development Camp.  This foggy, outdoors and challenging environment is a wonderful setting for the participants to learn about working together as a team and face some personal challenges.  The participants will be involved in many sessions involving, Theory on Communication (individual and group), Negotiation, Problem Solving, there are Practical exercises involving Trust, Teamwork, High Ropes course, problem solving, and communication.

This camp also provides participants with a wonderful opportunity to network and make lifelong friends from within lifesaving that they will stay in contact with forever.  Life Saving Victoria encourages all clubs to nominate and send a representative.

Under 18 Leadership & Development Program

By the age of 16-17 many of Victoria's lifesaving YOUTH have made a considerable contribution to both their clubs and the community.  The Under 18 Leadership & Development Program provides a setting for this individual development that will indeed improve services in the aquatic industry and in lifesaving clubs in the future.  Participants will learn about Decision Making, communication, meeting conduct, networking, running social functions and mentoring.  This camp will be conducted at Life Saving Victoria's state of the art facilities during early July 2010 once all the commitments of a heavy workload over summer is over.
