24 of Victoria's developing junior athletes will compete against Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia on January 8th 2009. Venue TBA.

Cosy Corner Carnival - Special Event

The "ENGINE" Cosy Corner Carnival is the mini Junior State Championships. A wonderful event to celebrate junior lifesaving sport in the peak of the summer season.

Australian Pool Life Saving Championships, held at the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra, ACT from 14th - 17th January 2009.

Senior Western Regional - Apollo Bay

Senior Central Regional carnival for members only within the region. Event inlcudes some masters events. Boats, R & R and Beach events 8:30am Saturday. Board, Ski and Swim 1:30pm Sunday.

West Coast Regional Junior Championships - Apollo Bay

Apollo Bay SLSC will be the host of the West Coast Regionals on Saturday January 17th 2009. This will include the Senior Western Regional.

East Coast Regional Junior Championships - Lakes Entrance

Lakes Entrance SLSC who hosted last years Junior State Championships will be hosts of the Eastern Regional Championships in January 2009.

2009 Victorian Masters Lifesaving Championships (inc Water Events Lifesaver Competition)

The 2009 Victorian Masters Championships continues to be a highlight for all masters competitors aged from 30 years plus. The 2009 event is expected to draw some 300 competitors.

Commonwealth Championships Edmonton - Canada

The top athletes from the Royal Life Saving Society's Commonwealth nations will come together in Edmonton to race for lifesaving supremacy from June 12 to 14, 2009.

World Masters Games - Sydney

The World Masters Games, governed by the International Masters Games Association (IMGA), is the largest participatory multi-sport competition in the world.
