Community Surf Lifesaving Certificate
The Community Surf Lifesaving Certificate course is ideal for teachers and beach aquatic industry representatives. Developed from the Surf Life Saving Australia Bronze Medallion, this program takes into consideration the needs of school teachers, surf instructors and other outdoor recreation supervisors who are responsible for the safety of others in the beach environment. The Community Surf Lifesaving Certificate is the ideal qualification required to supervise students not only in the surf but in all natural water environments.
A growing number of Schools and Universities have included the course in their curriculum, giving students a sound base knowledge about recreational aquatic activities and for University students, added qualifications to assist job potential in the Human Movement, Physical Education, Recreation and Outdoor Education industry.
Full Course
Prerequisites : 15 years of age. As a self assessment, candidates must be able to swim 400 metres in 9 minutes in a swimming pool prior to the course.
For Accelerated 2 Day Course : Candidates must also have good board handling skills and fitness level.
