Introduction

Life Saving Victoria, in partnership with RLSSA, has recently undertaken the development of new technology for use in conducting Aquatic Facility Safety Assessments (AFSA).  These new tools - the use of tablet PCs and associated software to conduct and formulate AFSAs electronically, automatically collating data - has seen many advantages, both in terms of saving time spent on each report for individual AFSAs, and also in the ability for LSV to analyse Industry wide data.  This will provide clients such as pool operators, councils insurers and the like a much clearer picture of where they stand in relation to Industry trends, and also LSV the important information on which aspects of Risk Management in the Industry mostly need improvement.

The data collated since the introduction of these new tools - August 2007 - through to end of March 2008, has been analysed in depth to produce the first Industry Summary report.  Please follow the link below to download a copy of this report.
