The Aquatic Sports Development Program is specifically designed for young people who would like to

pursue a career in the sport and recreation industry.  Year 11 and 12 students undertake a Certificate II, III, IV and Diploma in Sport and Recreation.

SEDA 6About the course

The Aquatic Sports Development Program offers a pathway for young people wishing to pursue a career in the sport and recreation industry.Opportunities for graduates will be in the areas of sports management, sports administration, event management, facility management, coaching and many other areas of the industry.

Year 1 - Certificate II and III in Sport and Recreation (VCE/Intermediate VCAL)

Year 2 - Certificate IV in Sport and Recreation (VCE completion/senior VCAL)

Year 3 - Diploma in Sport and Recreation

Students will gain their Level 1 Coaching Accreditation and have the opportunity to work in the field with LSV Victoria staff. They will have access to elite training facilities at a range of venues across the metropolitan area.

 

Eligibility

The program is for Year 11 and 12 students completing VCE or VCAL.

It is open to both males and females aged between 16 and 19 years and students will be selected via application and interview. Selection is not dependent on skill.

 

Future Pathways

  • Work in the sport and recreation industry.
  • Practical experience in sports administration, marketing, sports development and event management.
  • Articulate into a degree in Human Movement, Sports Coaching, Sports Administration, Business and Marketing.
