School Surf League

The School Surf League is an exciting summer event in the Surf Life Saving Surf Sports calendar. The competition aims to provide secondary school students with an alternative sporting experience that tests endurance, strength, speed and agility in the most natural sporting arena - the beach.
The league has been designed to not only teach students Surf Life Saving related skills, but it encourages young people to adapt existing skills to a new environment and become involved in a great part of Australian culture. It also provides young people with the opportunity to experience the exhilaration of Surf Sports competition and enables them to emulate their favourite Ironman or Ironwoman.
The format of the league comprises of activities relating to surf swimming, beach sprints and flags and board paddling. It enables students to test their abilities against themselves, the environment and students from other schools.
The competition is open to all Victorian secondary schools, via an online team entry (see details below).
